I work in Seattle on a wide range of GIS and spatial analysis projects and specialize in housing-related projects. I may be available for contracted work on other relevant projects. See my interests and expertise below and please contact me with any questions.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

Expertise in statistical analysis. Experience using and teaching SAS and SPSS for linear modeling, mixed models, longitudinal analysis. Knowledge of programming language for both statics packages. Proficient in spatial statistics using ArcGIS and GeoDa programs including descriptive statistics, autocorellation, local statistics, spatial lag and error models, and geographically weighted regression.

Expertise in geographic information systems. Experience using and teaching ArcGIS, including expertise in using spatial statistics tools, overlay and management of numerous data sources, editing, geo-coding, projection, map layouts. Also experienced with GeoDa and Quantum GIS.

Communication and data management skills. Experienced with Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Access. Web site creation in Word Press and Google Sites. Numerous professional presentations using Power Point.

Knowledge of housing market and demographic trends
Background in US Federal housing policy and its effects on homeownership, segregation, and the built environment, sub-markets and differentiation between urban and suburban neighborhoods.
Expertise on issues of gentrification and housing affordability.
Familiarity with American Housing Survey, US Census, Case-Shiller index, and local government data sources.
